Charlotte’s most recent session was at Abbey Road Studios, back in the iconic Studio 1, recording music for Bear Grylls’ Live Tour – Endeavour.

Working again with Guy Farley and the team, she was involved from the lead up to the recording, helping prepare scores as well as orchestrating small parts for the players, right up to the last stages of the mixing process, which was done back at AIR Studios in Studio 2.

It was a full day, with recording starting at 10am with the full orchestra in the morning. In the latter half of the day, the ethnic instruments, vocal and piano parts were recorded with mix preparation in the evening.

All the music that was recorded at Abbey Road Studios will be accompanying Bear on stage as the action takes place. The tour begins this October, and Bear will be touring across the UK, right up until the end of the year.

After a couple of days off from the Microsoft Theater show in LA, and a good couple of days driving through the Californian and Arizonian desert, Charlotte had her second gig with Tom Bailey, this time in Tucson, Arizona.

The show was at the AVA Amphitheater in Tucson, which is one of the bigger outdoor concert venues in the state.

With an audience of a couple of thousand people, there was room to spill right out of the seats and onto the grass which saw an exciting but relaxed vibe from the audience.

The band played a shorter set list this time, with songs such as “Hold Me Now” and “Doctor Doctor”.

Charlotte had the fantastic opportunity to accompany Tom Bailey and his team out to the states for a ten day tour, with two gig dates in LA and Tucson.

The first of the shows was at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown LA. Playing to an audience of 7000 people, the Microsoft Theater is one of the biggest capacity indoor concert venues in the world.

Tom Bailey held the supporting slot to The Human League, seeing in an almost sold out venue.

Charlotte had another fantastic opportunity to play with the Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey at the Rewind North Festival in Cheshire.

An annual music festival showcasing bands and artists from the 1980’s, this year saw in house hold names such as Rick Astley and Jason Donovan supporting earlier in the day. Tom Bailey and the band headlined the final Sunday evening finishing on a bang.

This was the biggest audience Charlotte has played for so far, with the figures hitting nearly 20,000 people on the Sunday night.

Charlotte is about to go on tour with the Tom Bailey team, with dates at the Microsoft Arena in LA and the AVA Amphitheatre in Tucson, Arizona.

Working with Leland Music again, Charlotte had the fantastic opportunity to work with Tony Doevendans, Guy Llewellyn and Rachel Starritt on another great live performance of ‘Yes I Can’ for the series finale of channel 4’s ‘The Last Leg’.

Featuring hosts Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe, ‘The Last Leg’ ran alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics, and will again this summer be following every evening of the main coverage of the Paralympics 2016.

The day consisted of sound checks, rehearsals and a live performance of ‘Yes I Can’ at the end of the episode, recorded and filmed at The London Studios.

Having worked previously on the ‘Yes I Can’ recording session at Abbey Road Studios back in May, Charlotte had the fantastic opportunity to work with the award winning music supervision and consulting agency, Leland Music in helping and organising the musicians in a live performance of ‘Yes I Can’ at the campaign launch of the Paralympics 2016.

Leland Music have worked on a number of projects such as the John Lewis’ ‘The Man on the Moon’, Hovis’ ‘Farmer’s Lad’ and many more.

The launch took place at the Channel 4 headquarters in Victoria. The night was opened by Clare Balding followed by the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Channel 4, Dan Brooke, plus an array of celebrities all promoting disability and the Paralympics in Rio this summer.

The launch ended with a showing of the fantastic ‘Yes I Can’ promotional film, with the arrangement of ‘Yes I Can’, featuring many of the musicians involved in the recording.

Charlotte made her second appearance with Tom Bailey, this time at Fulham Palace Gardens playing outdoors at the new ‘FOLD Festival’ playing with and supporting the legendary, Nile Rodgers.

Nile played with Tom and his band for the last two songs on the set, “Lay your Hands on Me” which was produced by Nile, as well as “Hold Me Now”.

There was a brilliant festival atmosphere throughout the evening, with a couple of thousand people by the end of the night.

Charlotte had her first gig playing keyboard and singing backing vocals with Tom Bailey at the Brighton Concorde 2. There was a fantastic buzz in the audience, with a room filed with more than 500 people in full supporting force.

Tom’s full set was played including his new single release ‘Come So Far’ which has come in at no. 2 in the vinyl singles chart.
